STANDING OUT FROM YOUR COMPETITION: HOW TO MAKE THE BEST OF YOUR EVP

Keeping the employer brand focus strong, even during seasonal hiring peaks, is important so it isn’t diluted just to deliver a higher volume of hires, but how do you leverage your Employer Value Proposition (EVP) all year round for a variety of different roles? In this blog I'll share three simple steps to help you stand out from the competition and get the most from your EVP.

Keeping talent engaged is key to any hiring process, and fundamental to this is the messaging you use. Understanding your target audience is vital to all of this, but everyone is different, so knowing what the magic formula looks like for each key role or, in some cases, individual, is an investment that pays back. You should segment your target audience, and align your EVP to those audiences in a tailored series of messages in a way that differentiates you from your competition.

So how do you stand out from the competition? Following these simple steps will help you to keep your talent engaged.

1) Consider your audience carefully and create a bespoke communication for each segment of that audience which maximises the impact of your employee value proposition for each group.

2) Ensure your messages are delivered consistently across all media as inconsistent messaging is quickly highlighted and will raise concern for new talent around the authenticity of your organisation.

3) Focus on ensuring that all interactions throughout the recruitment process are delivered in an personalised manner to maximise engagement throughout the end to end candidate journey
