| Technology & Operations Track | IR35 Off-Payroll Rules – The Future for Contracting in the UK | Beech | From 6 April 2020, affected client organisations engaging Personal Service Company (PSC) contractors will be liable for income tax and both employees’ and employer’s National Insurance Contributions (NICs) due on payments of deemed employment income to a PSC contractor, until they have fulfilled their obligations under the rules. Businesses have spent the last several months assessing their contractor population to ensure they are genuinely self-employed, and some have even decided to avoid engaging PSCs altogether in the future.
