Employee
An individual who works directly for an organisation in a job with no specific end date. Employees are mostly full-time engagements but can be part-time as well.
Engagement
The descriptive term to use for a worker and the work they’ve been contracted to do. This works for both temp and perm but there may be variety of local terms, for example temporary worker on “assignment” or a contractor on a “project”.
EVP – Employee Value Proposition
An employer value proposition (EVP) describes what an organisation stands for, requires and offers as an employer. It is an important component of our Direct Sourcing solution, as we actively seek to leverage the client’s brand with our reach to create a “client of choice” reputation to better attract talent in the marketplace.
EOR - Employer of Record
An employer of record serves as an employer for tax purposes in the United States. An employer of record handles all personnel functions, including payroll processing, tax, employment contracts and paperwork, etc.
Executive search
This is process of identifying, screening and recruiting for strategic and senior-level professionals. It is usually done in an upfront fee / retained capacity, where the agency is paid a fee regardless of the success. It is more high touch than a typical recruitment process and sometimes referred to as headhunting.
